More and higher taxes won't fix Connecticut

I'm astonished that the nation’s economy is improving while Connecticut’s is declining. Our state currently ranks 49th in economic growth, with businesses and workers leaving every day. For the past eight years Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has asked for more and more money. No matter how much we contribute, he keeps dragging us deeper in debt.

I feel as though we are running in circles. High pensions for teachers and state workers and health care costs for state workers.

I recently read a newspaper article that said Connecticut debt stands at over $80 billion. We are accumulating a budget shortfall of $2 billion a year. What was Malloy thinking? Worse yet, what is Ned Lamont thinking? He’s running on an identical platform, and will continue increasing taxes.

From the debates, it's abundantly clear that Ned has no idea what zero-based budgeting is, which is the heart of Bob Stefanowski’s platform.

I’m voting for Bob Stefanowski because he’s the real deal. He will bring businesses back to our lovely state and renew the economy. Young people, like myself, will flock to the state and raise their families here. Let’s lower taxes and plan for a better future.
