    Reproductive health services for all

Thank you for the July 1 editorial on the Supreme Court's recent decision on abortion and your prediction that the battle will rage on, “Roberts chose precedent, but that won’t end abortion debate." A commonsense way forward, one that should be acceptable to both sides of the argument, would be to make reproductive health services readily available to everyone, male and female, young people and adults. Reproductive health services include access to a range of contraceptives to be sure, but as important, they also include a robust educational program on the benefits of delaying childbirth, and then spacing children until parents are ready to provide the emotional and financial support that lead to a healthy childhood. More reproductive health services = reduced demands for abortion = healthier families. A win for everyone.
