Cheeseman commentary was right on target

I applaud Rep. Holly Cheeseman for her guest commentary, "Trump not a pressing issue for local Republican leaders," (Nov. 17). It was a well-thought and written article about the many Republican representatives that were re-elected to represent our towns of East Lyme, Salem, and Waterford. It does not matter what her reaction was to President Trump's election outcome; the question is irrelevant. As Holly states, "she was elected to represent the 37th district as our state representative" and does a fine job, as her constituents in our area well know.

It does not matter if the local state legislators are Democrats or Republicans, they will all work together for the best interest of our area of the state. That is why they all got re-elected!
