It is 2020 and there are not too many full-service gas stations left in Connecticut. There is one in East Lyme, Guy's Oil Service station, that I have been going to for at least 10 years. All the gentleman that assist me are animal lovers. We have shared laughs, tears and great stories while they fill the gas tank. Bob, one of the attendants, shared a bittersweet story about his 18-year-old cat that he and his wife adopted as a little kitten.

I was distressed last month when they closed down for a couple of weeks because one of the employees tested positive for COVID-19.

I hope Guy's Oil never changes to self-service. As long as I can still drive, I will still go there. It is like going back in time when you pulled into a gas station, got your green stamps, they checked your oil and cleaned your vehicle windows.
