Leave radio to Elci, drop his column
Please tell me why The Day feels it necessary to run articles by columnist Lee Elci. He has, apparently, his own radio show over which he can air his sycophancy to the Republican Party and his disdain for the Democratic Party, so why does The Day give him the added soap box to air his views?
Get a "somebody" like George Will who is not only astute but uses language which is enlightening. The Day readers are always willing to learn something!

Editor's note: The Day features a weekly column from Mr. Elci on its opinion page as part of its mission to provide a diversity of views. Mr. Elci's radio show puts him in touch with conservatives in our community, their perspectives reflected in his writing. We would note that Editorial Page Editor Paul Choiniere also appears weekly on Elci's program, where they often agree to disagree.

Senate censure, criminal trial would be better than impeachment
I have pondered the question of the possible Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump. An argument could be made that Senate witnesses or victims from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot are now judge and jury. No witness or victim in our justice system can be a jury member or judge in a criminal case they...
Teach our young to recognize propaganda
So, we have seen what happens when people blindly follow an autocratic cult leader for four long years. It has been beyond tragic and our recovery will take some time. We ask ourselves why these followers did not question Trump’s behavior and continued to believe his lies and false...
