    Groton city needs Hedrick's experience

Groton faces many challenges. The current city election highlights exactly why serious charter revisions are needed in the city and town. The city fire district/subdivision, former borough, and the town government are run well but can be improved.

This year’s election is like a "government play" showdown, so ironically personifying leadership, self-interest and unique visions. This is clear to many after a disaster nationally, a pandemic raging and political officials struggling for solutions.

Locally, we have an experienced leader, Keith Hedrick, being challenged by a younger, energetic person lacking in management skills, Aundré Bumgardner. All are trying to keep the government functioning that controls electric and water services to many, even non-city residents. It is clear that not only is it crucial for a person of proven balanced character to be in leadership but that this play is not over. Groton’s services may need to be changed in the future. It is the challenge and duty to keep good leaders and always educate those who strive to lead. Groton has a great leader in Keith Hedrick. Write in Keith Hedrick for mayor.
