Upbeat Day articles a pleasing formula
We recently renewed our subscription to The Day. Even before reading Karen Florin's column, I remarked to my husband how pleasant it was to read your Sunday newspaper, and how upbeat all of the articles were. What a breath of fresh air. I and a lot of my friends have stopped watching cable news because it is increasingly apparent that they have a tactic of airing unchecked stories over and over again, using the same language over and over again, until the community at large accepts them as fact. Here is hoping that efforts like yours will reverse this unacceptable trend and we can have true journalism again.
