U.S. Constitution, First Amendment, as ratified on Dec. 15, 1791: "Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press."

Yet we read, in a Reuters news story by Susan Heavey, Elizabeth Culliford and Diane Bartz: "Facebook is not doing enough to stop the spread of false claims about COVID-19 and vaccines, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday, part of a new administration pushback on misinformation in the United States…Facebook also 'needs to move more quickly to remove harmful violative posts,'" she said.

Since when does the government have the authority to call for the suppression of what it arbitrarily decides is “misinformation?” The First Amendment specifically says that Congress certainly does not, nor, by extension, should the president who has sworn to uphold the Constitution in his oath of office.

In my opinion, the Biden administration's calls to arbitrarily violate our First Amendment rights are more than sufficient grounds for immediate impeachment actions against this president.
