Doctor fires and misses target in his vaccine letter
It was an interesting read of Dr. David Andersen’s Letter to the Editor, “Deny health coverage to COVID anti-vaxxers,” (July 26). The problem is that his letter is filled with false info or “fake news.” The fact is that it is not the white rural Trump supporters that make up the bulk of the anti-vaxxers but rather the Black and Hispanic community as a whole. The latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention numbers show that 66% of eligible whites have received at least one dose, whereas only 38% of Blacks and Hispanics have. While it is expedient to blame former President Trump, Trump supporters, and the GOP, the fact is that the numbers do not bear out the argument.
Perhaps Dr. Andersen should stick to being a physician and remove himself from political agendas since he clearly does not know what he is talking about.
