I appreciate the editorial cartoons as much as the next person but your decision to publish the thinly veiled cartoon comparing federal Covid policy and Nazism was truly appalling. Enough already. You are perpetuating the truly ignorant idea that there is any parallel between the two events. Why do we continue to find this acceptable? Read a history book for God’s sake or better yet, visit the Holocaust Museum and then if you still feel using that monstrous and devastating event to describe our current situation is acceptable then so be it. Editorial cartoons are meant to be clever and thought provoking, not lazy and insulting. Worst of all you chose to print it over a touching article about our beloved American icon Betty White! Do better, not dumber.
