Oh the power of the editor's pen!
Matt Greene's letter to your paper was one that pointed out the duplicity of Lawrence +Memorial's management toward their nurses and technicians. He also uses the correct term "lockout" twice in his letter. The workers were in fact locked out by the hospital. They were threatened with arrest if they set foot on hospital property. No where does he say strike.
Why did The Day's editor choose to entitle the letter "Strike is damaging to community?" (Dec. 14). This was not a strike, it was a hospital lockout. An accurate a title would have said "Hospital lockout is damaging to the community."
