'Reset button' column reveals Collins' bias

I always enjoy reading the columns by David Collins. You can always become stimulated one way or the other. In that regard, he really hit the jackpot with, "Connecticut GOP needs a reset button," (Oct. 12).

His hypocrisy regarding the degradation of some Republicans was anticipated. He did show his true color. It is, after all, election time. It is time, apparently, to crucify politicians who have money and who in turn don't have to rob taxpayers to gain power, through unwarranted taxes and frivolous spending. Collins loved to criticize Linda McMahon and she is still on his hate list. She became rich through American idealism, hard work and smarts, which Collins hates. He prefers those that prosper by using phony political idealism, such as Sen. Chris Murphy.

If you listen to Collins, he would change New London into New York, a congested nightmare including an enlarged Garde Arts, a new magnet school system, another Coast Guard Museum, another Harkness at Seaside - all at taxpayer expense.

David, why have you abandoned your quest to find out what happened to the money taxpayers gave to Amistad? The election has overcome your striving for justice.
