Some good karma might benefit cops

It's appalling how almost everyday there are new videos of police violence towards citizens. The nation needs a good police presence to keep civil obedience during emergencies, prevent crime or just give a trusted helping hand.

Police forces are like every other organization, they have their bad and their good. However, today, with all the chaotic evil crimes committed around the world and in our country, it's no wonder that sometimes police overreact. This is not an excuse, it's just a possible reason why there are beatings and sometimes deaths caused by the police when dealing with suspects.

They have to remember that with power comes responsibility and, with this occupation, much stress.

Instead of attaining military surplus to strengthen their forces, police should concentrate on their karma to help diffuse further beatings and deaths and the resulting public outrage from Rodney King to Michael Brown. Perhaps a therapist or older more experienced officer should be in every cruiser to help prevent the unneeded violence that is plaguing the police.
