Businesses back great holiday Scout tradition

Clinton Boy Scout Troop 55 would like to acknowledge all the businesses that graciously supported our 2017 annual Coffee Break community service project held over the Memorial Day weekend. It’s been a 45-plus year tradition that Troop 55 has provided free refreshments and fellowship to holiday travelers who visit the I-95 Westbrook State Police, Troop F, front parking lot.

We saw many familiar faces again this year as well as meeting new friends from all over the world. Hearing the entertaining stories of holiday travels and past visits to the Coffee Break have always been a highlight for our Scouts and leaders. One couple told us this year that they remember first stopping in 1969. The wife had refused to allow her husband to take extra coffee and doughnuts with them in their brand new convertible because she was afraid he would get their new car dirty.

Troop 55 greatly appreciates the businesses that continue to support the efforts of our community service project!
