School Protection Plan: Wire fences surrounding all school perimeters. Face identification system for entry. If entire school can’t be surrounded, then surround all door openings with perimeter space and face identification at openings. Police attendance at morning entry. Metal search all entries for weapons, all the time. Have wire system connected to local law enforcement for instant police reaction to all incidents. Have local police cars on a staggered drive-by surveillance program.
This approach would be the least expensive U.S. government and local program response to protect the nation’s schools from invasion − combining technology, infrastructure work, and timely police response.
