The critical issue is lack of respect, not guns

I believe that the Second Amendment was created so that Americans remain citizens and not become subjects again! The AR-15 (first made in 1963) has been available almost as long as the military M-16 version. Why no trouble until recent years?

The issue is not the guns, nor is it the mental capacity of the individual (the deadliest attacks required planning). The real issue is the general lack of respect for each other!

Students no longer respect teachers from middle school to college. Teachers have to pass students with failing classwork/homework because they pass a test. Police are not respected while they are willing to rush into danger to protect people; and it’s worse since the last president put a target on their backs! The list for the lack of respect is too long to continue listing them.

Children today are taught that they have to be respected, but they do not have to respect others; they are first. It took years to get here. It will take years to return to life of mutual respect.

Pride in America is also being eliminated, starting with millionaire Americans who refuse to stand for the U.S. flag and the National Anthem. Now schools are planning not to play the National Anthem at events.
