Personal attack leads to straight party vote

As I read about the Honduran caravan headed toward the U.S. border, I thought about how difficult their lives must be, that they would take such a risk. Then I went onto one of my social media accounts to see a post by someone that asked the question, "Do you think the Military should kill any person who tries to cross the border illegally?" Of course, my answer was no. I don't feel that anyone should have to die because they are trying to find a better life.

I do believe that we need a better system, a better way to allow people to come here legally.

I was immediately vilified by a staunch Trump supporter. I was called a number of terrible names, told that I should just kill myself, and I had no right to have children because I was an ignorant Democrat.

All this in sentences with no punctuation and many, many foul words. Is this what we have come to? It's not OK to wish people to die. I don't care who you are or whatever your beliefs. This person and his nasty diatribe has convinced me to vote against all Republicans, because voting for a Republican is silently allowing this kind of hate to continue.
