    Bright wind future

It was a pleasure to read the article, “Lawmakers eye offshore wind grab,” (Feb. 13), concerning the agreement to consider a future program that will best effect local homeowners by involving a nearby 2000 megawatt electricity wind farm. Some states are already involved with larger programs up to 9000 megawatt wind farms. Wind power has been around for some time and will obviously improve future conditions for all of us; wages for local workers, decreased electricity cost for homeowners, and improvements for the future environmental energy requirements. This new industry that is able to operate within our location would be most advantageous.
