Please drive safely in Groton mobile home park

About five years ago I wrote a letter stating speeding is out of control in High Rock Mobile Home Park in Groton. Recently I witnessed an SUV blowing through two stop signs while entering the back entrance of the park. Through the grace of God no one was killed − this time!

It seems my complaints over the years have fallen on deaf ears. That will change when someone gets rundown and maimed for life or a child or grown up walking through here gets killed. Now is the time to act, not after someone dies  because of careless drivers. At least 70 percent of the people who live in this park drive too fast through here, so I ask you, "Do you or don't you care about your kids or anyone else's kids or grandkids?" Seems few do.

My friend was hit in this park in 1966 when he was about 6-years-old. The last thing he remembers he was hit and flying through the air. The next thing he remembered was waking up after three days in a coma. That same thing could happen to any of our kids.

If I have to stand alone on this speeding issue, then so be it.
