The Connecticut Port Authority’s plans to destroy and rebuild the State Pier in New London to benefit the Orsted/Eversource corporate partnership, using millions of Connecticut taxpayers’ money, have gained increasing attention lately. The list of media outlets looking into the issue is growing, and the monthly reports of the current review by the Connecticut State Contracts Review Board has served to better inform the average citizen, especially here in southeastern Connecticut.

Anyone who would like to be active in expressing displeasure with this entire mess has an opportunity to make a public stand on Monday, at 10 a.m. at the State Capitol in Hartford. A gathering of trucks, from tri-axle dumps to snowplow pickups, will assemble there, with a podium for speakers to address the assembly.
