'Sleepy' Groton officials should seek federal road funds

State Sen. Heather Somers, Town Manager John Burt, and the sleepy Groton Town Council meed to obtain infrastructure funding. Apparently, Joe Biden's infrastructure plan calls for allocating $115 billion to modernize 20,000 miles of highways, roads, and main streets, and $20 billion to improve road safety for all users. Is there any chance our local politicians and town manager seek opportunities to repave our horrible roads and improve road safety?

I wonder if Somers has considered looking into this. We know the answer.

Heather, John, and Groton Town Council – there is a need and now an opportunity to seek funding to improve our roads. Gravel, Pearl, Bindless and River Road all need road and safety improvements. Please stop overlooking the issue.
