Don't ask for unbiased TV news

Frequently I hear people say things like “I watch only CNN” or “I watch only Fox News.” Others say, “I want to watch unbiased news on TV.”

I propose there is a better decision. If you watch both “far right” news stations and “far left” you can make a more informed decision as to what is really going on. I do not want to abdicate my ability to be informed and then make decisions. I am sure the left news outlets will point out flaws with the agenda or actions of the right. The right ones will reciprocate. Then I can attempt to fact-check statements which involve areas I wish to examine more closely.

While listening to political statements I never believe what any politician (from any party) says. I measure them by what they do that is good for the country, the state, or the area in which they live. When history shows they do what they said they would do, I will place more trust in that politician.
