Congratulations to the volunteer members of the League of Women Voters, The Day, NAACP, and other organizations that have sponsored debates for regional candidates running for office in election 2022. The debates give us a personal grasp of a candidate's personality and character and help us to make more informative decisions. As debate organizers have urged us, every person attending a debate will vote on Nov. 8. But what about those who could not attend? Maybe you can help them register to vote. Or get an absentee ballot. Or give them a ride to the polls. Of course, we will vote, but let us take an extra step and help others to vote.
