GOP: Party of retribution
It did not take the Republican Party long following its ascension in the House as the majority party to forget about getting to work doing anything constructive to address inflation, immigration and crime, the very issues it claimed during the mid-terms was of paramount importance to the electorate.
Fast forward to the present and it is obvious that those were just talking points intended to distract and provide cover for a bevy of "investigations" concerning Hunter Biden, the Department of Justice, and Department of Homeland Security. Led by presumptive Speaker Kevin McCarthy, the guy who spilled the beans by admitting that the pointless Benghazi hearings were just a front to sully Hillary Clinton's reputation, the party is once again poised to engage in retribution and waste taxpayer dollars jousting with new windmills.
As long as the GOP continues to travel this path of conflating political theater with tangible accomplishments that make a difference in people's lives, it will continue to be viewed as a grievance-driven artifact of the past with nothing to offer the American public.
