Save the legacy of St. Bernard

Thank you Mike Buscetto and partners for putting a bid for St Bernard’s. May you save the legacy of St. B. As a graduate from the three buildings and a lot of smelly wool blazers, (on rainy days) our St. B used to be on Broad Street, in New London. We had the nuns, priests, brothers and lay teachers. Just try to get a note past one of the nuns, even when she was looking at the chalk board. Talk about eyes in back of one's head; they caught it all!

St. B was a tough school at that time (the ‘60s), but I know my parents $50.00 a year was worth it! Two weeks before I thought I was going to Waterford High, a package came for me - a uniform. I thought I was going WHS, but my parents had known I was NOT going to WHS! (I was a troublemaker at Clark Lane). My father with his "Italian eye," told me, 1. not to argue, and 2. I was going to St. B. I am so glad I did. It was four years of my life that I will forever cherish.
