Forbes’ richest counts 3 more in Connecticut than last year
More Connecticut billionaires have made it this year onto Forbes magazine's annual list of "The 500 Richest People in the World."
Sixteen state residents are on the annual Forbes list, up from 13 last year.
Topping the list are Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates and Steve Cohen of SAC Capital Advisors.
Four new names include sisters Alexandra Daitch of Lyme and Lucy Stitzer of Greenwich, who are heirs to food giant Cargill; Andreas Halvorsen of Darien, founding partner and chief executive officer of Viking Global Investors; and William Berkley, a Greenwich insurance executive.
Wrestling CEO Vince McMahon dropped off last year's list after shares of the wrestling entertainment giant declined.
