Westerly -- The Westerly Hospital is sponsoring “Babytastic,” a free community event for new and expectant parents and those considering having a baby. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12 in the hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center.

The event will provide a chance for participants to meet the labor and delivery staff from the hospital’s Women’s Health Center. They will provide information on prenatal health and nutrition, maternity services, our “Baby-Friendly” hospital, childbirth preparation and baby care basics.

The event will also feature information on community resources for parents, including prenatal mother and baby exercise programs; car seat safety; local merchants offering items for sale for expectant moms, new moms, and babies; raffle items such as baby baskets; giveaways; and light refreshments.
