McMahon campaign returns to the airwaves

North Haven — Former wrestling executive Linda McMahon is reintroducing herself to Connecticut voters with her first television advertisement of her second bid for the U.S. Senate.

The Republican’s 60-second spot is to start airing across the state on Wednesday. It was first shown to The Associated Press today.

The advertisement features the former chief executive of WWE sitting in her living room, talking about the struggles she’s experienced throughout her life. She talks about how her family lived in low-income housing until her father built the family’s small house. She also talks about meeting her husband Vince McMahon, and how the now-wealthy couple once declared bankruptcy.

Campaign manager Corry Bliss said many voters still don’t know McMahon’s personal story, which he said many people struggling today can relate to.
