Elissa Wright seeks fourth term as state representative

Groton — State Rep. Elissa Wright, D-Groton, received the unanimous Democratic Party endorsement Tuesday for the 41st House District. The convention was held at the Groton Public Library.

“It is a privilege and an honor, and a source of great personal satisfaction, to represent the 41st District and this very special part of Connecticut in the state assembly,” Wright said.

Wright, the assistant majority leader, vice chairman of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and member of the Judiciary and Environment committees, is running for her fourth term.

Due to redistricting, the third voting district in New London and the first and second voting districts in Groton will become part of the 41st House District, joining the current seventh and eighth voting districts in Groton.
