North Stonington – The town's $20.8 million proposed budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year will go to referendum Tuesday.
Town Hall will be open for voters from noon to 8 p.m. on June 5. Residents will vote yes or no on the general-government budget and the education budget separately.
The total proposed budget is $2.8 million – or about 15.7 percent – more than the current budget. It includes $12.5 million for education – an increase of just under $500,000 – and about $8.3 million for general government, which represents an increase of about $2.4 million.
