Ledyard — Ledyard police will be conducting a canine-working exercise from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the area between Meetinghouse Lane and the Highland Lake on Shewville Road.

The police department will be working along with the Connecticut Canine Search & Rescue organization. The exercise will involve the use of multiple canine teams.

Residents who observe this activity should not be concerned that an incident is talking place.
