Police Await Autopsy Before Discussing Triple Shooting

North Branford Police Lt. David D’Ancicco said a press conference expected to take place later today has been moved to tomorrow, Tuesday, June 12  at a time to be announced, as police await results of autopsies of the two people shot and killed at a Brook Lane home on June 9.

The two were killed, and a third person in the home injured, by gunfire that broke out sometime before 7:30 p.m. on June 9. Police have said from the beginning that the incident appears to be isolated.

D’Ancicco said on June 11 that the names of the victims had not been officially released, contrary to information “floating around” on blogs and news sites.

“We haven’t done an official release,” he said, adding the supplementary police conference will “fill in all the gaps.”

Information on the shooting will be shared by North Branford police and Connecticut State Police at the conference.

D’Ancicco also confirmed for The Sound that the third person injured in the shooting is still under hospital treatment.

Police have said from the beginning that the incident appears to be isolated.
