Opportunities Industrialization Center holds 42nd annual graduation
New London – The Opportunities Industrialization Center of New London County is holding its 42nd annual graduation Thursday night.
After completing their training programs, more than 100 students are eligible for certificates in the areas of computer applications and clerical skills, certified nursing assistant and culinary arts/basic food service training.
State Rep. Ernest Hewett, himself a graduate of the center, will be the guest speaker.
The graduation is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Connecticut College’s Evans Hall.
The Opportunities Industrialization Center operates year-round job training and placement programs as well as community justice and domestic violence prevention programs in New London County.
