Ledyard - The long-awaited CVS in the Gales Ferry section of Ledyard will have its grand opening Sunday morning.

Located on the corner of Hurlbutt Road and Route 12, the CVS will be the town’s only pharmacy, though it will not be open 24 hours. Regular store hours slot the opening for 7 a.m. Sunday.

Ledyard’s residents approved the sale of the property’s 1.89-acre store footprint to the site’s developer last year, and the town sold the property in April for $625,000 and broke ground in the same month.
