    Groton to hold voter registration session

    Groton - The Groton Registrars of Voters will hold a voter registration session between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 at the Groton Human Services Building at 2 Fort Hill Road.

    The purpose of this session is to register new voters for the Nov. 6 presidential election.

    The cut-off date for voter registration by mail for the presidential election is Oct. 30. New voter registration cards must be postmarked by that date. The Voter Registration office will be open until 8 p.m. on Oct. 30.

    Applicants must appear in person. A limited voter registration session will be held between 9 a.m. and noon on Nov. 5 for those seeking to vote in the Presidential Election whose qualifications as to age, citizenship, or residence was attained since Oct. 30.

    Questions concerning voter registration and voting can be answered by calling the Voter Registration office at 860-441-6650. Normal officers are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
