New London — The Second Community Prison & Prevention Gathering will be held Saturday at the Shiloh Baptist Church at 3 Garvin St.

The event will focus on identifying ways to keep young people safe in the community. It will also look at ways to improve the relationship between law enforcement and the community.

The event is sponsored by the church's prison ministry. Registration starts at 8 a.m. while the event starts at 9 a.m. until noon.

Members of the public, youth leaders and advocates, religious leaders and community leaders are invited to attend.
