Pawcatuck man facing drug charges
North Stonington — Police arrested an 18-year-old Pawcatuck man on drug charges Wednesday after a brief struggle in a Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.
Following the afternoon arrest, Aaron Gooden of 24 Pawcatuck Ave. was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a narcotics and possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.
Officers were interviewing Gooden and a passenger around 12:46 p.m. at 136 Route 2 when police smelled marijuana coming from Gooden’s vehicle. During a subsequent search, police found marijuana packaged for sale, alcohol and drug paraphernalia.
After a brief struggle, Gooden was taken into custody, police said, and held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
