The hurricane did not damage the new Niantic River Bridge.
The project is still on schedule, Cliff Cole, an Amtrak spokesman, said Thursday.
Amtrak built a two-track, electrified, railroad bascule bridge across the Niantic River between East Lyme and Waterford, 58 feet south of the old bridge. The old bridge will be fully removed next spring.
