L+M construction leads to temporary closure of emergency room access from parking garage
New London - The green 'emergency' elevator and stairwell in the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital parking garage will be closed from 6 to 10 a.m. Friday as part of the hospital’s ongoing construction.
In addition, the covered walkway leading from the garage to the Emergency Department entrance also will be closed.
The main entrance to the Emergency Department will remain open during this time. It will be accessible for foot traffic and vehicle drop offs.
Non-emergency patients, staff, physicians and visitors are encouraged to use the hospital’s main entrance during this time. The work is part of the construction of the new Joint Replacement Center.
