Amtrak to resume service on Wednesday

Amtrak announced tonight that it will resume regularly scheduled service between Boston and New York on Wednesday.

Amtrak applauded the efforts of Metro-North Railroad to quickly repair the tracks and other infrastructure after two Metro-North Railroad trains collided near Bridgeport Conn. on Friday. Service between New Haven and New York has been suspended since then. The disruption of service has forced commuters to take buses and cars which has further increased congestion along Interstate 95.
