New London— Police say two women were injured early Saturday morning when they cut each with “cutting instruments” during an altercation in the parking lot of the Crystal Avenue High Rise Apartments.

Police sad they responded to a report of a disturbance with a large crowd gathering at 2:57 a.m. and found the two women. One had a laceration to her head and the other her neck and face. Both were treated at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, according to police.

The incident is under investigation. Police did not release the names of the two women.
