Commanding officer to speak at Nautilus Chapter luncheon

Groton — Capt. Richard E. Verbeke, commanding officer of the Regional Support Group Groton, will speak at the Naval Submarine League Nautilus Chapter luncheon Thursday, Aug. 29.

The luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the U.S. Submarine Veterans Club, 40 School St. The cost is $15 per person. Make checks payable to Nautilus Chapter Naval Submarine League. RSVP by Monday, Aug. 26 to Tom Olson at (860) 245-0333 or tfolson@comcast.net. Attendees can pay at the door. Walk-ins are also welcome.
