Westerly - In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Westerly Hospital will host a free education program titled, “Breast Cancer: The Latest in Screening Recommendations and Treatment Options” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in Westerly Hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center.

Presenters will be Dr. Shereene Brown, and obstetrician-gynecologist; Dr. Jeffrey Christian, a general surgeon; and Dr. Robert Legare, an oncologist-hematologist. The three Westerly Hospital physicians will discuss the latest screening recommendations and treatment updates, including surgical and nonsurgical - chemotherapy and immunotherapy - options.
