    Daniel Hand Art Students Receive State Recognition

    Five Daniel Hand High School students have been recognized at the 25th annual Connecticut Scholastic Art Awards for their artwork.

    Over 1,500 student works were entered into the competition from 130 participating Connecticut schools. Brian Carlson and Tessa Farnham were both awarded silver keys for their drawings; Juliette Geller was awarded a gold key for her painting, Sarah Lynch and Catherine Peng also received gold keys for their drawings. Peng was awarded an honorable mention for her painting as well.

    Gold key recipients will have their work judged at the national level in March. 

    All of the students recognized will have their work displayed at the Silpe Gallery at the Hartford Art School.
