Karen M. Myrick, an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Quinnipiac University, has been named to “Irish America’s” Healthcare and Life Sciences 50. Myrick was officially recognized at a ceremony at the New York Yacht Club on Sept. 25.

The award recognizes the work of Irish-American and Irish-born medical professionals who are contributing every day to the health and wellness of their communities through their work in pharmaceuticals, medical and biotechnology, research and development, disease prevention and life sciences venture capital. Each honoree was profiled in the August/September issue of “Irish America” magazine.

“It is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank ‘Irish America’ for the honor to be recognized as one of the inaugural 50 health care and science awardees,” Myrick said. “The environment in which I am privileged to work continually inspires me.
