The local Nepalese Community in Branford has already raised and sent over $40,000 toassist with the earthquake relief work in Nepal. A team of Branford residents recently returned from a work trip to Nepal and have seen the devastation first hand. There are still years of work to do. Trinity Episcopal Church is joining with the local Nepalese community to support those efforts.

At the Branford Festival, Trinity Church will be open on Saturday (June 20) for people to meet our Nepalese neighbors and hear about the situation first hand. Then on Sat., June 27, there will be an authentic Nepalese buffetdinner to raise funds and share information about the culture of Nepal and the scale of the work still needed.

Tickets for the dinner at $40 and may be purchased from Darbar 2681), and online at trinitybranford.org.  All proceeds will go to The Society of Nepalese in America (headquartered in Branford) for direct aid to the hardest hit regions of Nepal.
