Coast Guard Band vocalist to sing at Super Bowl 50

Musician 1st Class Megan Weikleenget will be the first Coast Guard musician to represent the service at the Super Bowl.

Musician 1st Class Megan Weikleenget will be the first Coast Guard musician to sing at a Super Bowl. She will join vocalists from the other four branches of the military on Feb. 7 in a joint chorus to sing leading up to the kick-off. The performance will be aired during pre-game coverage.

Weikleenget, a soprano, joined the Coast Guard Band in 2010 and has performed a variety of styles at venues including Carnegie Hall and the National Theater and Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.
