Waterford takes home 12U flag football championship

The Waterford Warriors took home the SECT 12U Flag Football Championship on Feb. 19 at Wide World of Sports in Montville.

The team finished their season at 8-2 under the coaching of Dow Rogers and Duke Speller and defeated Groton 19-6 and the defending champion Stonington 38-16 to win the championship.

The team is made up of Sagar Sharma, Kolby Quinn, Lio Griffin-Hill, Nate DePerry, Lorenzo Rivera, DJ Rogers, Jake Darras, Nate Hynes, Quinn Speller and Trevor Stringer.
