Salem Resident Troopers Luke LaRue and Christopher Pariseau presented the second annual Safety Awareness Day at Salem School on May 24. Students participated in an assembly on safety situations and various emergency services demonstrations, including a DWI simulator and programs with the Salem and Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Departments, the State Police Major Crimes Division, DEEP Animal Division, and two K-9s. A LifeStar helicopter also made a landing at the school.
