Millstone conducting signal flare testing Wednesday

Waterford — Millstone Power Station Environmental Lab staff will conduct a training event Wednesday to practice the safe firing of emergency, hand-held and aerial signal flares.
The flares are a safety requirement maintained onboard Dominion Energy vessels in boating emergencies and are required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
Environmental Lab personnel will conduct the drill at the southern end of Millstone Point between 10 a.m. and noon.
